Our Group of students in the York Early College Academy Medical & Environmental Health Society are organizing a community food drive to support local families in need, collecting nonperishable items among other food items through public and online fliers donation drops being accepted at York Early College Academy. We’ve partnered with York College and the county food bank to ensure efficient sorting and distribution of the donated products and becoming information centers. We are running this drive to emphasizes the importance of volunteer-run distribution events where students take lead doing things such as help hand out food, offer resource information, and strengthen ties between the school and the community.
